BRINGING ITALIAN TO YOUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES

ITALIAN FOR KIDS

Fondazione Italia uses a communicative approach to build language skills. Our native-speaking instructors combine Italian language immersion with games, songs, movement, arts & crafts and imaginative play to create a fun, age-appropriate, natural learning environment. Research has shown that children are much more likely to communicate in the target language if the communication has a purpose and it reflects situations they can relate to. For this reason, our lesson plans are specifically tailored to each age group, emphasizing practical themes in the context of real-life situations. Some reading, writing and basic grammar are incorporated into lessons for school-age children. The textbooks are supplemented with songs, storybooks, cultural elements, games and fun activities to challenge and stimulate the child. Children are provided with materials to reinforce learning at home.

Fondazione Italia offers the following developmentally-appropriate programs for children ages 1 to 14.
